What is a Computer

This computer setup consists of a Central Proccessor Unit (CPU), keyboard, pointing device or mouse, a monitor and a printer.

A computer is a device that accepts input (via keyboard or mouse) from a user (that's you), carries out some instructions (via the CPU) and then produces a response (on the monitor or the printer).

The input can be typed in via the keyboard or options can be selected on the monitor using the mouse.

Starting the Computer Locate and push the power on button. After a short delay the monitor will display a login prompt. Enter your username; bmvic Enter your password; ******** Press the Enter key.
